Capt. Rich was born and raised in Jersey City NJ and started fishing when he was 8. He started working on Belmar Party boats (The Skipper) at the age of 16 and took the position of deckboss aboard a private Ocean yacht at 17 working the inshore waters for fluke, seabass and blues and then running to the canyons to battle NJ’s variety of tuna. When he turned 19 he acquired the time needed  to become a USCG 100 Master Captain. He continued his boat career while working as a Capt at NY WaterWay Ferry Corp and purchased his forth boat, The ZiggyB in 2006. In 2007, Capt Rich started to run charters on the weekends and his days off while maintaining the full time life as a Police Officer. Capt Rich holds personal records such as 37lbs Striped Bass, 7.5lbs Fluke, 180lbs YellowFin, 3.3lbs Seabass, and 6.2lbs BlackFish. Capt. Rich will work diligently to make sure your charter is filled with fun and excitement. Even though we do not and can not guarantee you will catch fish, we do know you will go home remembering your trip with us.

The ZiggyB is a 2007 Albemarle 280XF NEWLY RE-powered by twin Volvo Gi-Cf engines and sports the best in Electronics. We top out at 35kts but pull it back to 20-25kts cruising for our passengers comfort. We recently updated our electronics to Raymarine's new A Series touchscreen multi-function display. Here we now have GPS and our new 24m HD Radar on one screen while still sporting the time tested and ever trusted Furuno 587 as our fish finder and eyes below. The boat has full stand up head and shower and working fridge. We have plenty of ice boxes on board and ask that large ice coolers be left back at the dock to reduce deck clutter. She may only be a 30 footer but she can easily hold 5-6 passengers with ease.
